Studios are set up and sessions are available at the venue on graduation day. Bookings are not required but recommended as this will streamline your day and avoids any delays.
On other days that graduation ceremonies are not taking place it is also possible to book a session at our studio in Addington. We have most regalia available for your use.
Our graduation portraits are photographed with painted canvas backgrounds using professional studio lighting & camera equipment that is operated by NZIPP Accredited Professional Photographers.
We are completely up front with no hidden charges. Our range of portrait packages combine the most popular print & digital file combinations all in one set price (you can of course add extra items if you wish).
If you are receiving an award on stage each portrait package also includes a complimentary copy of the photograph of the graduate being presented on stage.
Graduation Specials: Portrait packages photographed in the week up to and including your actual graduation day are available at the graduation special prices listed. The regular prices apply for sessions at other times.

What is a pose?
Each different combination of people or set-up that results in an image being selected is called a pose. Each pose may be a different view of the same subject or an entirely different subject/group. For example, if you have a double degree and want portraits wearing each hood, that would be two poses. If you want photos of the graduate, with parents and with the whole family that would require three poses.
How long is the portrait session?
Our graduation day mini sessions usually are 5-10 minutes. As you'll likely already have your regalia on, this saves a lot of time, but we will make any adjustments so it all looks perfect. Be assured that we take enough time to have some fun and get the images required while also allowing as many graduates as possible have the opportunity of having a portrait session.
Sessions in our studio do take a little longer as we need to get you dressed in the regalia and also review the photos after the session, we normally allow 10-15 minutes for the session, plus a similar amount of time to review and select your images. Should you wish to have a large number of poses, we can arrange extended session times to accommodate this.
Will everyone be watching me while I'm being photographed?
On graduation day we endeavour to set up our studio area away from the general public for your privacy during the session.
Viewing of proofs
For sessions photographed at the venue on graduation day time constraints mean that it we don't have the ability to do viewings. Our studio staff select what they believe is the best image from each pose. In the unlikely event you don’t like our selection you can make an appointment at the studio to view the full set of images taken.
